What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund provides unrestricted, current operating support for the School’s budget. Annual Fund gifts bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and the actual cost to educate each student.
What does the Annual Fund support?
Annual Fund gifts support a variety of programs, including: academics, faculty development, the arts, athletics, college counseling, technology, and the library. Annual Fund gifts allow the Academy to address the most pressing needs of our faculty and students.
Why support the Annual Fund?
In 2007-2008, the Annual Fund will contribute approximately 7% of all operating revenues available to the School. The St. Joe community gives to support two main goals – a budgeted gross dollar amount and a participation goal. Participation from alumnae, parents, grandparents, parents of alumnae and friends makes a statement to the community, and to the various foundations and corporations who look at these numbers when considering their own financial support. All Annual Fund gifts are 100% tax deductible.
How much should I give?
Gifts range in size from $5 to over $20,000. Only you can decide what is appropriate for your family.
The Sister Celestine Pommerel Society
The Sister Celestine Pommerel Society recognizes generous donors who make Annual Gifts to St. Joseph's Academy of $1,000 or more. The society bears the name of the Academy's first principal, Sister Celestine Pommerel, C.S.J. Arriving in the late 1830's, she was one of the first Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet to settle in St. Louis. It was under her leadership that St. Joseph's Academy was established in 1840. The Sister Celestine Pommerel Society giving levels are:
