Respect Life Club

Promotes and reinforces the teachings of the Catholic Church on the value of human life. The organization focuses on the specific life issues of abortion, capital punishment, poverty, violence and war. The organization participates in the Archdiocesan respect life events, pro-life walks, and educational programs that engage the student body in raising their awareness of the value of human life.

The club meets the second Tuesday of each month.

March for Life 2010

Students and faculty from St. Joseph’s Academy travelled to Washington, DC for the annual March for Life. SJA students were encouraged to attend the March with their parishes and youth groups; however, this year marksed the inaugural trip that the Academy has sponsored through the Respect Life Club for students whose parishes did not sponsor a trip. Faculty members Katie Postal and Jocelyn Popit accompanied 5 freshmen and 2 juniors on the pilgrimage to DC with the Life Really Matters team out of St. Louis.
