To volunteer for any of the events or committees outlined below, please download this file and send it to the school office.
An Evening with the Angels Dinner & Auction-February
Interested dads can set up and tend bar, help to organize a table for the dinner and auction, volunteer or chair an Auction committee, and/or solicit sponsorships and auction items.
Pick up supplies, set up, grill, and clean up for the following events:
Fathers' Club Back to School Bash (formerly Burgers & Brat Night)-August
This is our "Welcome" event for fathers to kick off the beginning of the school year. illed tradition at SJA for over 24 years. This event has been a tradition at St. Joe for over 24 years. It is a causal gathering for dads to renew friendships and meet new dads. We honor our past Fathers' Club Presidents and invite them back to share the past, present and future of St. Joseph's Academy.
Freshmen & New Parent BBQ/Meeting-August
Mothers' and Fathers' Clubs host dinner for our new families before a very informative meeting to discuss your daughter's start to the school year. A lot of helpful information will be shared.
Fall Harvest is an annual event for the SJA community featuring family friendly activities, such as pony rides, face painting, bounce house and much more. The SJA Father’s Club will provide food and drinks and The Pro Shop will be open.
Sporting Event/Spirit Days-TBA
Members coordinate spirit days throughout the year at various sporting events; these events promote the spirit of St. Joe with the SJA community and our opponents. Free drinks and food are provided to anyone attending the game. The the barbeque committee works with the alumnae office, athletic office and student spirit club to plan the dates and locations of each event.
BBQ committee provides dinner for the end of the year meeting to welcome our new board members and thank our outgoing officers for a job well done!
Community Service Projects-Ongoing
These activities are dedicated to promoting volunteerism, working with our daughters in community improvement and service. Our ongoing service projects include:
St. Patrick Center-
Volunteer with your daughter on select Saturdays throughout the school year to serve lunch to the homeless. Please contact Brett Marchant, Fathers’ Club Community Service Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 314.265.1405 to reserve your preferred date. St. Joe Serves on the 2nd-
The St. Joseph's Academy community prepares and serves a meal to the homeless served at Sts. Peter & Paul in Soulard, on the 2nd of every month. Weekdays (dinner) from 3:30pm-6:30pm and weekends (lunch) from 10:30am-1:30pm. Volunteers will be notified by email in advance of the food donations needed for that day's meal.
Father/Daughter Dinner Dance-January
One of the highlights of the year-dont' miss it! Held at the St. Charles Convention Center-spend the evening dancing with your Angel(s). Tables are reserved at school through Student Council. Corsages can be preordered through the Mothers' Club and available for pick up that night. Many senior dads wear tuxedos to honor what may be their last Father/Daughter Dinner Dance at St. Joseph's Academy.
Plan to attend! Mass begins at 7:30am and is followed by coffee, juice, and doughnuts. Gather at 7:00am outside of the Theatre to pray the Rosary.
Golf Tournament-Celebration at Sunset-September
Celebration at Sunset is a day of golf, tennis and cards. Proceeds from Celebration at Sunset benefit the Parents Scholarship Fund. The Parent Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to students who lose their primary tuition-paying parent while at St. Joseph's Academy. It also benefits the General Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to families in immediate need. This committee begins work during the spring and summer. Volunteer to chair a committee, solict sponsorships and auction items, organize a foursome, play tennis or cards, or become a sponsor. There is something for everyone!
Dads act as ambassadors for St. Joe, meet and greet parents at school events, collect entrance fees at sporting events, and other duties as needed.
