ST. PAUL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Daughters of St. Paul to Award "St. Paul Media Scholarship"

The Daughters of St Paul are evangelizers of the Word of God through the media and within the communications culture. An anonymous donor has established a scholarship fund of $1,500.00 to recognize a high school student who embodies the spirit of St. Paul the great evangelizer who sought to bring the message of Jesus Christ to all people using all the means available to him.

Any current Catholic high school student may apply for the scholarship by preparing a multi-media presentation (such as a movie, music video, podcast, website, facebook site, etc) that shows how they have made a difference in their school, community or home. They are to express, through their chosen media, how their good works evangelize and enable them to be St. Paul working and living today.

The scholarship award application will be judged on the content of the message and the technological presentation. It will be awarded to the recipient at the Annual Benefit Dinner/Auction of the Daughters of St. Paul on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at The Cedars of St. Raymond's Maronite Catholic Church. The recipient will also receive a $100 gift card to the Pauline Book & Media Center.

Each scholarship entry must be the applicant’s original work and include the applicant’s full name, age, anticipated year of high school graduation, mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number. Only one submission per student and submissions cannot be returned. Applications may be sent electronically or by mail and must be postmarked or received (if submitted electronically) by May 1st.
