Grading Systems & Graduation Requirements: On-Campus College Credit Opportunities
St. Joseph's Academy offers the opportunity for students to take selected honors courses for either advanced college credit and/or in preperation for the Advanced Placement Exam sponsored by the College Entrance Examination Board. To indicate such options the terms ACC (Advanced College Credit) and AP (Advanced Placement) are used. Students enrolled in ACC classes who want to apply for college credit must also register for college credit through the sponsoring college or university. ACC courses at St. Joseph's Academy are offered through St. Louis University's 1818 program. Students enrolled in AP Classes may elect to take the AP exam at the end of the course. The score earned on the AP exam is used by the college/university the student attends upon her graduation from St. Joseph's Academy to determine the hours of college credit the student may receive in a particular subject area.
