Director of Library Sciences
St. Joseph Academy is now accepting applications for the position of Director of Library Services. Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Library Science and State Certification. The ideal candidate would have at least three year’s experience in high school library.
Responsibilities include:
- selecting materials which meet curriculum needs
- establishing library policies and reviewing them periodically
- teaching library and research skills to students and faculty,
- keeping an up-to-date inventory,
- preparing and overseeing the annual budget,
- maintaining an awareness of technical updating in library management,
- assisting in behavioral management
- commitment to the goals of St. Joseph Academy as demonstrated in the Mission Statement.
