Welcome Message from the President

St. Joseph’s Academy is a very special place for your daughter.  Throughout our long history we have been committed to DEVELOPING VALUES-DRIVEN WOMEN LEADERS. And now more than ever, we need the leadership and compassion of people who live the value “Not I, but We.”  We hold ourselves and our students to Academic Excellence as we prepare every young woman for college success.  We believe in a balanced approach to developing the whole woman. We encourage leadership and influence through action. We call forth spiritual courage and confidence. We cultivate intellectual distinction. We foster the desire to serve and we expect excellence. These are the core values that are embedded in our excellent academic and co-curricular programs and in our strong commitment to our sponsors the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, and to our Catholic tradition. Through this website we provide a glimpse into many of the opportunities available for our current Angels, our Alumnae, and our Parents and Friends as they partner with our dedicated administration, faculty and staff in making St. Joseph’s Academy such an exceptional learning community. Our young women embrace these values and know that we are serious when we tell them in our Mission Statement that we expect them "to make a profound impact in the world." We encourage you to stay in touch with this vibrant St. Joe community through frequent use of this website. We also invite you to visit us in person and to participate in the many events scheduled throughout the year. SJA – Developing values-driven women leaders since 1840.
